Filly Soccer Wins State Championship, Broncs Finish 4th

The Cody Fillies Soccer team are the Class 3A State Champions.
The Fillies knocked off the Lander Valley Lady Tigers 3-1 on Saturday to claim their 4th title in the last 5 years. Fifth in all. With the win Cody completes the regular season undefeated, a perfect 17-0.
The Fillies would get goals from Kennedi Niemann, Jessa Lynn and Molly Hays in the contest.
The Fillies would lead 3-0 at the half. Lander would score their one goal in the second half and Cody completed the victory.
The Fillies would get State Tournament play underway on Thursday with an 11-0 rout over Newcastle and defeated Mountain View in the semi’s 3-0.
As for the Cody Broncs, they would go 1-2 at the State Tournament and took 4th place as a team.
The Broncs got a big win in the opening round, upsetting Douglas by a final of 1-0.
The Broncs would then fall to the eventual champs, Worland, in the semi-final round by a final of 4-0,
Cody was then pitted against their Park County Rivals, Powell, in the 3rd place game and played one of their best games of the season but fell short, 1-0.
The Broncs officially finish the season 9-8.
