Filly Swim Finishes 2nd at Buffalo Invite, Powell 1st

The Cody Filly Swim team was in Buffalo over the weekend competing in a pair of events.
On Friday, they would compete in the Buffalo Triangular, no team results were given.
On Saturday, they took part in the Buffalo Invite.
The Fillies would finish in 2nd as a team, Powell was 1st.
During the invite, Elle Ortner would have a fantastic day. She finished in 1st in the 100 yard butterfly and 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle. She also helped the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relay teams take 1st.

200 Free – season best by Tara Joyce (and won), lifetime best by Haven Robbins
Diving – 3rd place finish and lifetime high score by Louella Cornell, Lifetime high score by Hailey Holeman, NEW State qualifier and lifetime best score by Kristen Boysen, Lifetime high score by Callie Christiansen
100 fly – 1st place finish by Elle Ortner
100 free – lifetime best by Clara Christensen
200 Free Relay – great race and touch out by Tara Joyce at the end of the relay to get 1st
100 bk – lifetime best by Lily Jones
400 free relay – 1st place finish
The girls have really hit the hardest point of their season! They have been working really hard and it was great to see them keep racing hard even when they are tired. We are just weeks away from Conference and State!
Filly Swim will close out the regular season, on Thursday October 13th at Powell.
