Gas Prices Highest Since 2014

Written by on August 29, 2018

Consumers have seen the most expensive summer at the pump since 2014.
According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is $2.73 per gallon so far, and is expected to increase over Labor Day weekend to $2.84 per gallon. That’s a 20-cent increase from Labor Day last year.
Cody gas prices currently range between $2.99 per gallon and $3.04; in Powell, they range between $2.95 and $2.97 per gallon; and in Greybull, prices are lower yet, between $2.89 and $2.92 – but all are above the national average.
Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, says it’s been consistently a more painful summer at the pump than what motorists have been accustomed to when compared to the last few summers.
