Governor Candidates in Cody Monday

The two gubernatorial candidates will be in Cody next week to speak to residents about their vision for Wyoming’s future.
Republican candidate Mark Gordon and Democratic candidate Mary Throne will be speaking to chamber members at noon at Cody Club on Monday, and will be participating in a meet and greet that evening to answer questions and promote their platforms to local residents.
At a governor’s forum that was held in Cody in August, Gordon pointed out that he has had success in growing business in Wyoming’s legislature. Gordon, who is currently the state’s treasurer, adds that he also has experience in all three major economic sectors of the state – tourism, agriculture and energy.
And Mary Throne, who visited Park County last month, told KODI News that she aims to keep her focus on the citizens that the governor will serve, rather than party loyalty.
Monday’s candidate forum will be held at the Holiday Inn in Cody beginning at 5:30. The general election will be November 6th.
