Habitat For Humanity’s Cody Home Build
Written by Mac Morey on January 29, 2021
The Habitat for Humanity Organization here in Park County will be doing their home build in Cody taking place on New Hope Dr.
Habitat for Humanity builds a house in both Cody and Powell every year as apart of their efforts in building homes for those who need it and this year they may even try for two houses cause donations have grown.
Info sessions will be conducted to allow applications for people who would like to live in the house and for HFH to get to know who may live in their home.
The first info session is on Wednesday, February 10th. Nikki Hoellwarth on KODI’s Partyline said that “it is maybe one or two hours long depending on the amount of questions. It is basically just a presentation.”
Other info sessions will be held on the 12th and 13th of February.
They will have child care at the info sessions and it is kind of like one big “party” and could even be treated like a “date night.” To go isn’t to say that you are going to apply but maybe just learn if this is something that could be a benefit.
Those sessions will let people know what paperwork is needed and will have until mid March to get those applications finished and turned in.
As a community we are so fortunate to have an amazing non profit like Habitat For Humanity right here in Park County do great things for the community and even watch it grow in their funding.
Let’s make sure as a community we keep helping them help others with our donations whether that be money, supplies, or toys.
