Lady Warrior Softball Lose to Cody

The Lady Warriors Girl’s Softball team was in Cody Thursday. The Cody Fillies are one of two undefeated teams in Wyoming Girl’s Softball. Kelly Walsh being the other.

Worland was 1-2 coming into the game Thursday against Cody.

The Lady Warriors would come out with a 4 to 1 lead heading into the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Cody scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning and would never look back.

Worland starting Senior Pitcher Brooklynn Hellyer got a rocket hit back at her and would hit her directly in the face mask.

Brooklynn was able to finish the inning as well as pitch a scoreless 3rd inning before she would exit the game in the bottom of the 4th inning.

The Cody Fillies would add another 8 runs in the bottom of the 4th.

Freshman Cody Pitcher Elle Ungrund would strike out the side in the bottom of the 5th. Ungrund had 10 K’s for the game.
