Lady Warrior Swimmers And Divers Shine At Regionals

The Lady Warrior Swimming and Diving team finished 4th at the Absaraka Conference Meet in Buffalo over the weekend.
Worland scored 172 points with help from outstanding finishes from all 6 of their State Qualifying Swimmers.
Junior Maci Newell got 2nd in the 100 Freestyle as well as 5th in the 50 Freestyle.
Junior Elena Gunderson was 3rd in the 200 Freestyle, while she was swimming in that event she Qualified for the 100 Free at the same time, she also finished 4th in the 500 Freestyle.
Sophomore McKenna Burns was 4th in the 100 Butterfly.
Senior DeEtte Hofmann was 6th in the 100 Butterfly.
Sophomore Shae Whitlock was 6th in the Individual Medly and Sophomore Keira Warren was 6th in the 100 Breaststroke.
The 200 Freestyle Relay finished 5th with Shae Whitlock, McKenna Burns, Elena Gunderson, and Maci Newell.
The 400 Freestyle Relay finished 4th with McKenna Burns, Elena Gunderson, Shae Whitlock, and Maci Newell.
The 200 Medly Relay finished 5th with Keira Campbell, Keira Warren, DeEtte Hofmann, and Myah Herby.
Powell won the Meet with 369 points, Cody was 2nd with 239 points, Douglas 3rd with 215 points followed by Worland, Buffalo, Riverton, and Newcastle.

The Lady Warriors will head to State in Laramie in 2 weeks.
