The Lady Warriors won 2 before they lost two. That’s the formula at the Regional Tournaments.
Worland Lady Warrior Volleyball will play at the State Volleyball Tournament this Thursday at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
The opening match of the Regional Tournament in Lovell on Friday was against the number 2 ranked team in Wyoming 3A Volleyball.
The match opened with a 28-26 set that the Lady Warriors were very close to taking, 25-10, 25-17 were the remaining scores and the Lady Warriors would lose the opener 3 sets to 0.
In a must-win situation for the rest of the tournament, the Lady Warriors would return to Lovell at 9 am to face the Pinedale Lady Wranglers.
Worland would get the 3-1 win 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, and eliminate Pinedale.
Moving on in the tournament the Lady Warriors would next see the home team Lovell Lady Bulldogs.
Again needing a win to save off elimination the Worland would get a 3 set sweep of Lovell 25-21, 25-17, 25-20 to move on to the 3rd place match.
The Lady Warriors were now guaranteed a spot at the State Tournament and would play for seeding against Powell.
Worland would lose to Powell 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 and get the 4th seed at State and face the Wheatland Lady Bulldogs in the first round.
Wheatland is the East Conference Champions and the number 1 seed from that Conference, The Lady Bulldogs have a 25-8 overall record for the season.
