Lady Warriors Continue to Roll

After a 48-29 loss to Lander back on January 28th the Lady Warriors have been dominate. Worland is giving up just over 36 points per game over the last four games. They are scoring and average of 56 points in that same stretch. A 20 point margin of victory.

Lovell came into the game 7-6 overall and having a very imposing presence in the middle with the 6’2″ Senior Center Rhett Partridge. In the first meeting with the Lady Warriors Partridge was in early foul trouble and would only score 4 points.

In a game that would be the first for the remainder of the season without Senior standout defender Logan Yule, who has a separated shoulder. The Lady Warriors would start slow. Scoring eleven points in the opening period.

Rhett Partridge for the Lady Bulldogs would finish the first with seven points and look to be the focal point of the Lovell offense. With a 10-11 Lady Warrior lead at the end of the first.

The Lady Warrior defense would clamp down. Not just for the second period. The remainder of the game. Holding Lovell to four points in the second period.

Darla Hernandez finished the half with nine points. Denali Jones with five. Brooke Wright would add five as well. Ajaih Montoya had two. The half would end with a 21-14 Worland lead.

The second half would become a show of pace, power, and technique. Rhett Partridge would be blanked in the third period.

Brooke Wright would hit her second three pointer of the game finishing the third period with ten points. Hernandez finished the period with fifteen. Denali had seven. The third period Worland would add thirteen more points. 34-19 at the end of the third.

The finial period would go more of the same as the third. Stifling defense and an overpowering offense. The Lady Warriors would see another career high for the second time in the week. Brooke Wright had 15 with three 3 point shots. Darla Hernandez finished with seventeen.

The Lady Bulldogs Rhett Partridge finished with eleven, seven of those in the first period. The Lady Warriors would get the conference win and get to 3-1 in the Northwest Quad. With a 52-23 finial. The lowest amount of points given up all season.
