Lady Warriors Split Wins Against Lander and Rawlins

The Worland Lady Warrior Girls Basketball Team were in Lander on Friday.
Worland would struggle in first period. Unable to score and would start the game off 11-0.
Scores from Elli Aquayo, Mania Peterson, MacKenzie Ray, and Adisyn Rollins would get the Lady Warriors to a 24-10 halftime deficit.
Lander’s Demi Stauffenberg hit seven 3 pointers in the game scoring a game high 23 points.
Worland was lead in scoring by Jaz Aquayo with her 6 points. Elli Aquayo, Mania Peterson, and MacKenzie Ray each had 5 points.
The Lady Warriors lost 51-31 to the Lady Tigers.
On Saturday the Lady Warriors would change their fortune scoring 16 points in the first period and holding the Rawlins Lady Outlaws to 5 points.
Worland would add another 11 points in the second period and finish the first half up by 15 points and lead 27-12.
Defensively the Lady Warriors held Rawlins to 23 points and only 4 Lady Outlaws would score only 1 scored more than 6 points.
Worland had 10 players score with Delilah Salazar leading with 9 points including a 3 pointer.
The Lady Warriors would get the win 45-23 over Rawlins.
Worland is 5-8 overall and 1-2 in conference.
