Last Day for Holiday Helpers Donations

Today’s the day – the last day to contribute to Cody’s Holiday Helpers.
Coordinator Jacque Sims says that this year, donations of toys or other gifts for needy families can be dropped off to the warehouse at 1430 Rumsey Avenue, in the section of the building next to the Cody VA Clinic.
Donations of teen and adult gifts, bedding such as blankets and sheets, and movie and rec center passes are what Sims says they are most in need of this year. She adds that businesses in the community have donated gift cards and other items toward the effort, adding that there was a huge outpouring of support in the form of the volunteers who have assisted.
Sims points out that once the items are all collected, families will be able to pick up their gifts,
Sims adds that all the gifts and used items are completely free for the families who register for Holiday Helpers through the Department of Family Services.
She notes that the volunteers for Holiday Helpers will be at the Rumsey Avenue location tonight from 5:30-9 p.m. for anyone who would like to make last-minute donations.
