Local Businessman Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Written by on July 17, 2018

A local businessman has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash Thursday.
Joe Boydston, who owned and operated Joe’s Auto on Big Horn Avenue, was riding his motorcycle with friends on highway 120 about 15 miles north of Cody when he lost control and was thrown from his bike. That’s according to an article in the Cody Enterprise.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol report noted that speed and driver inattention were possible contributing factors in the crash, which happened as his bike and two others were attempting to pass a vehicle. Boydston was wearing a helmet, but succumbed to his injuries at Cody Regional Health that evening.
Boydston is survived by his wife and two children. Funeral services are scheduled for today at Ballard Funeral Home, with a reception to follow at Cassie’s Supper Club.
