“March for Life” Saturday

A group of concerned citizens is joining a nationwide effort to shed light on a dark subject.
The “March for Life” this Saturday in Cody is an effort to address what organizers call a holocaust – the millions of abortions that have been performed since the landmark Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973.
Leslie Maslak is one of the organizers for the Cody event, which will take place beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. She says that the United States is one of the top three countries in the world that have the most liberal laws regarding abortions, alongside communist China and North Korea.
The silent, prayerful march will begin outside the courthouse. Maslak says the march will wind down Sheridan Avenue, turning on to 8th Street, and will end at Riverside Cemetery, where there is a memorial to unborn children.
The march will be held in conjunction with a larger event in Cheyenne at the same time as the Cody event. The nationwide movement centers around the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal in the United States.
