Next Tuesday, an event will be held in Cody that will delve into the world of marijuana.
Hosted by the Prevention Management Organization of Park County, the 2017 Marijuana Summit will be held on April 4th at the Holiday Inn.
Steve Miller with the Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming says this Summit is open to all who wish to attend, but will be especially useful for mental health professionals, law enforcement, educators, legislators and other policy makers.
Speakers will include the director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the director of the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, and the Co-Founder and CEO of Project SAM, which stands for Smart Approaches to Marijuana.
The Conference is co-hosted by the Prevention Management Association, the Wyoming Department of Health, and the Wyoming Association of Chiefs of Police and Sheriffs.
