2020 has been quite an unpredictable year and in the latest piece of strange news, NASA has some exciting things to announce about the Moon.
On Monday, October 26th, NASA will be putting on an event to announce an exciting new discovery about the Moon.
There are not a ton of details on what exactly they will be revealing, but NASA says that it will contribute to their efforts in support of space exploration. They did reveal that the discovery was made by the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy or Sofia.
Now, what is Sofia?
It is a Boeing 747 that NASA has modified to fly above most of the atmosphere. It is rigged with a 9-foot telescope which allows researchers to get a broader view of the solar system.
It is unclear what they have found with the telescope, but I’m sure whatever it is will be interesting.
The announcement will take place at 10am Mountain Time on Monday the 26th. You can tune into the audio announcement on the NASA website.
In the meantime, Wyoming is in for a snowy weekend. Check out some helpful winter driving tips below.
