New “Move Over” Law Begins July 1st

Wyoming will have a new Move Over law on July 1st, and WYDOT crews are out replacing the current signs with new ones that reflect the changes.
The new law requires motorists to move over for emergency responders, maintenance, construction and utility crew members with flashing lights. That means motorists will now need to move over for WYDOT workers.
The new law requires motorists to move over to the farthest lane on a road with two or more lanes in the same direction or to slow down 20 mph below the posted speed limit on two-lane roads.
