Written by on April 4, 2018

Northwest College is coming under scrutiny from the U.S. Department of Education regarding allegations of sexual violence and retaliation.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports the investigations at UW and Northwest Community College both involve separate cases of sexual violence and retaliation, while the Natrona County district investigations involve one for sexual violence and another for retaliation related to disability discrimination.
The investigations are being conducted by the federal department’s Office of Civil Rights, which provides no details of active investigations. All five Wyoming investigations are listed as pending.
UW’s sexual violence and retaliation investigations were both opened on July 6. Northwest Community College’s retaliation investigation was opened on July 26, 2017, and its sexual violence inquiry began on July 22, 2016.
