Teen accidentally moves into retirement community
Turns out she finds herself loving life in her new home.
How does one end up at 19 in a retirement community? It happened to this young lady. According to her social media posts, Madison Kohout has had pretty interesting, and like most of us a rocky life at times. Only being able to vote for a year, and she is already living in retirement.
It came about was completely by accident, when Kohout moved all the way Arkansas from Oklahoma into an apartment she had never seen but found online. She fell in love with the affordable two-bedroom when she arrived, but in her excitement she didn’t notice the sign outside the apartment complex until she had been living there for about a week.
“When I went out to my car, I started meeting some of my neighbors,” she told Insider. “To my surprise, they were all over the age of 65.”
After that it she said that moving was crazy and between finding a job and setting up her apartment she really didn’t notice. The only thing she did notice is that her neighbors were older and that that was weird. Then she saw the sign and it clicked. You see her hilarious journey Madison Kohout Tik Tok! –
And yes you best believe, she’s documenting all her older/elder adventures along the way. On Tik Tok alone she is regaling her 83,500 followers with video clips, snatches of songs, that talk about life in the “senior lane”.
“Another fun thing is, whenever I get to come home after a long day, everyone asks me how I’m doing,” she said. “Anyway that’s how my life is going here at the old folks’ home. And just remember, if you’re struggling with rent, start your early retirement.” Full story is here!
