Powell Athletics Weekend Recap

Yesterday, I took a look at how the Cody Athletics teams fared. Today, let’s take a look out how area teams performed.
Starting off with a look at Powell Athletics.
Like Cody, the Powell Wrestling team took part inf the Lander Valley High School Invite.
The Panthers would finish 15th as a team.
Jimmy Dees (195) was the best placing Panther grappler, finishing in 4th place.
Doug Bettger (220) would finish in 6th.
Meanwhile, both the Powell Basketball and swim teams would match-up with Worland over the weekend.
On the hardwood both the Worland teams would knock off the Powell with the Lady Panthers falling at the buzzer 45-43, while the Powell boys lost 68-50.
In the swimming pool is where Powell would find success as they defeated Worland in a dual, 94-92.
