Powell Death Under Investigation

Authorities are investigating the death of a Powell woman at a home on Lane 11, south of town.
According to the Sheriff’s Office website, someone placed an emergency call at 4:47 a.m. Saturday and reported finding a body. Park County Sheriff Scott Steward said his office has a person of interest in custody, according to an article in the Powell Tribune, and said that personnel from the Wyoming State Crime Lab will be processing the scene.
As of Saturday evening, Steward said that his office is still investigating the details, but did say there is no risk to the public.
