Powell Man Found Deceased Outside Rural Home

Written by on February 22, 2017

A Powell man who died over a week ago was found dead outside his home this weekend.

66 year old Harold Ray Liner was found lying outside his residence on Highway 295 Saturday. The deputy and emergency responders who arrived at the scene found Liner’s body frozen to a concrete slab. There were no visible signs of trauma or foul play.

According to the Park County Sheriff’s Office, the emergency medical team said that it appeared as though Liner’s body had been there for some time, and although the weather has been warmer, there was still snow on the concrete pad. No one reported Liner missing, and he was ultimately found by an acquaintance who came to visit.

The Park County Coroner estimated that Liner had been lying outside for approximately a week, and has ruled the cause of death to be a cardiac event.
