Yellowstone Regional Airport reported record passenger enplanement numbers for both the months of June and July.
In a news release sent out yesterday, Airport Manager Bob Hooper reported that YRA saw 4,979 passengers boarding planes out of Cody in June, compared to 4,907 in June of last year. And July accounted for even higher passenger enplanements – 559 more passengers than the previous high in July of 2016.
YRA achieved another milestone in July with passenger enplanement numbers exceeding 6,000 for the first time ever.
Hooper attributes the increased passenger numbers to improved flight schedules and competitive fares being offered by both United and Delta Airlines. In addition, seasonal weekend service on United Airlines to Chicago returned in June.
