No traffic delays are expected today during the concrete bridge deck pour over Sage Creek between Lovell and Cowley.
Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Michael Miller of Basin says they are expecting to pour about 190 cubic yards of concrete, which was set to begin at 6 a.m. this morning. The concrete work will involve the entire bridge deck over Sage Creek, and should take about four hours to complete.
The $11.7 million Sage Creek highway and bridge improvement project consists of road widening, bridge widening over the Shoshone River, replacement of the Sage Creek and railroad bridges, asphalt paving, and other work. Miller said drivers should expect traffic delays throughout the project, which is expected to be complete by June 30th of next year.
