The Cody School Board has voted to drop its current drug testing policy and work on creating a new one.
The Cody Enterprise reports that at the trustees’ work session last Thursday, the Park 6 School District Wellness Committee was tasked with gathering district personnel, health care professionals, community stakeholders and parents to examine the district’s previous plan, and look at other programs to recommend a more comprehensive program that would address at-risk student behaviors.
The previous random drug testing policy had proven ineffective, and had been suspended over two years ago.
