Homeowners in Wyoming may be entitled to a partial refund of their property taxes.
Park County Treasurer Barb Poley says the Wyoming Property Tax Refund program is back, after having been de-funded for two years by the Wyoming State Legislature. She says the program is available to homeowners who make less than three-fourths of the median household income for the county in which they reside.
Requirements for the refund include being a Wyoming resident for at least five years; that you have paid your 2018 property taxes in a timely manner; and personal assets for each adult household member don’t exceed $120,339.
Poley says that applications for the program can be picked up at the Treasurer’s offices in each Wyoming county, and are due by the first Monday in June.
