Successful Prescription Take Back Day

The Cody Police Department is thanking the community members who participated in the DEA National Prescription Take Back Day on October 27th.
Since April 2018, the Cody Police Department has collected approximately 122 pounds of prescription drugs as part of the DEA Prescription Take Back Day program. These unused or expired prescription medications often find their way into the wrong hands, or are disposed of in an unsafe manner.
The Department points out that if anyone missed out on bringing their unused or expired prescription medicines in this past Saturday, they do have a year-round drug disposal container at the Park County Law Enforcement Center at 1402 River View Drive in Cody. This collection site is located in the main lobby; it is available 24/7, and disposals can be made anonymously with no questions asked.
