SYP: Leslie Hagenstein, Traveling Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner Leslie Hagenstein lives on a ranch in Pinedale, Wyoming that has been in her family for decades. If you’re thinking she’s a ranch person through-and-through, you’re right. But she’s also well-traveled, having crisscrossed the globe, numerous times as a traveling nurse and then a nurse practitioner.  Her profession has taken her to all seven continents, from the wilds of Wyoming all the way to the frozen tundra on the bottom of the earth known as Antarctica.  She spoke on SYP about her background, career and what she would tell younger people about joining the medical profession as a traveling nurse.  To say that Leslie is an interesting person who has lived an interesting life is an understatement. She embodies all that the human spirit strives for: intellectual curiosity with a willingness to help her fellow human being.
