Thermopolis USPS Holds Building Dedication Ceremony for Robert L. Brown

On Friday, August 26th, 2022, there will be a dedication ceremony for Robert L. Brown held by the Post Office in Thermopolis, WY, which will take place at the Hot Springs County High School Auditorium.

Speakers include US Sentator John Barrasso and Governor Mark Gordon.

Bobbi Brown Barrasso, Robert Brown’s daughter, and Mike Brown, Robert Brown’s son, will also speak at the event in addition to USPS Colorado and Wyoming District Manager Jason McMahill.

The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the Hot Springs County Auditorium located at 415 Springview St Thermopolis, WY 82443.

Background:

On September 24, 2020, Senator Michael Enzi introduced Senate Bill 4684 to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 440 Arapahoe Street in Thermopolis, Wyoming as the “Robert L. Brown Post Office” which was signed into Public Law 116-268 by the President on December 30, 2020. This was cosponsored by Senator John Barrasso and Senator Thomas Carper.

The ceremony will be attended by members of Brown’s family, Senator John Barrasso, Governor Mark Gordon and community members.
