This is Now: Filly Hoops Enter Season with High Aspirations

The 2022-23 basketball season has arrived and for the Cody Fillies expectations are high heading into the new season. The Fillies are coming off a 2021-22 campaign that saw them make history, becoming the first girls team in Cody history to go undefeated for the regular season and finish with a remarkable 24-1 overall record. However, that one loss was in the title game. The Fillies aren’t just hungry to start the season, they’re starving. I had the pleasure of catching up with Head Coach Chris Wagner, prior to Thanksgiving, for a little season preview. Coach Wagner says being back on the floor is like Christmas come early.

The Cody Fillies open their season December 8^th through the 10^th in Gillette at the Re-Max Invitational Tournament. Stay tuned tomorrow to hear from Broncs Head Coach Jay McCarten.
