Authorities say a Utah man was killed after triggering an avalanche while skiing just outside the boundary of Jackson Hole ski resort.
The Teton County coroner identified the victim as thirty-year-old Alexander Marra of Orem, Utah, the Jackson Hole News and Guide reported. He was killed while skiing with a partner in an area known as Rock Springs.
The Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center had issued an advisory Saturday morning warning of a considerable avalanche hazard at upper elevations.
