Tim Hart Has Made It Home

Wyoming Smokejumper Tim Hart made his final journey home to Cody on June 6th, 2021.
Tim Hart passed away due to injuries that he sustained during a smoke jump. The jump was on the Eicks Fire in Hidalgo County, New Mexico on May 24th, 2021.  Hart was flown to a hospital in El Paso, Texas where he died that evening.  Hart, 36, was working for the West Yellowstone Smokjumpers based in Gallatin National Forest in Montana at the time of his death.
A procession of fire trucks as well as other agency vehicles escorted Tim and his family.
