Warriors Boys Basketball Get Wins Over Lander and Rawlins

The Worland Warriors Boys Basketball Team is 14-1 overall and 3-0 in Conference.

Friday the Warriors were in Lander to take on the Lander Valley Tigers.

The Warriors took a 20 point lead in the first half of the game 39-19.

With 3 point shots made by Brock Douzenis, Jorey Anderson, Carter Clark and Kade Weber in the first half.

Worland held Lander leading scorer Tisso Guina to 2 points in the first half.

The Warriors would get the 63-38 win over Lander.

No Lander player would score double digits.

Worland was lead in scoring by Jorey Anderson with 16, Anderson also lead the team in assists with 5.

Carter Clark had 15 points, 9 of those points were from three pointers. Carter would also lead the warriors in steals with 4.

Junior Court Gonzales had 14 points along with 6 rebounds.

Kolter Wyman had 8 points and Douzenis lead the Warriors in rebounds with 8.

Saturday the Wyoming 3A number 2 ranked Worland Warriors would face the Wyoming 3A number 3 ranked Rawlins Outlaws at home in Warrior Gym.

The Warriors would get a 62-51 win over a very tough Rawlins team.

Wyoming 3A number 3 scorer Ashton Barto was held under his 18 point season average. Barto had 12 points.

Rawlins was lead in scoring by Eli Kern with 19 points.

The Warriors were lead in scoring by both Brock Douzenis and Jorey Anderson who each has 17 points.

Brock also had 6 rebounds, Jorey had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block.

Court Gonzales had 9 points including a 3 pointer, 5 rebounds, and lead the team in assists with 5.

Kolter Wyman had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and a blocked shot.

Junior Carter Clark had a full court3 pointer and the buzzer to end the first half. Clark would finish with 8 points.

Landen Gilmore had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and a “Hammer of Thor” block.
