Warriors Finish 3rd At State

The Worland High School Boy’s Swimming and Diving Team finished the 2021-2022 Season with a 3rd place overall finish.

The Warriors finished 3rd in 2 relays. The team of Gage Stanek, Trae Bennett, Traeten Quigley, and Walker Cooper finished the 200 Yard Medley Relay 3rd.

The team of Canton Green, Gage Stanek, Walker, Cooper, and Traeton Quigley finished 3rd in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.

Senior Traeton Quigley finished 6th in the 200 Yard IM, and 2nd in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

Junior Gage Stanek finished 10th in the 200 Yard IM, and 2nd in the 100 Yard Backstroke.

Junior Walker Cooper finished 7th in both the 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Freestyle. Both races Lander’s Jonny Kulow would set an Automatic All American qualifying time of 20.15 in the 50 Yard, and 44.15 in the 100 Yard.

Junior Melvin Croft finished 11th in the 1 Meter Dive.

Junior Wyatt Whitlock finished 10th in the 100 Yard Backstroke.

The 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Gavin McEndree, Jack Bishop, James Williams, and Wyatt Whitlock finished 10th.

Lander Valley High School won the 3A State Championship with 388 points over Buffalo at 211 and Worland at 112.

Lander has won 26 straight 3A State Championships.
