Warriors Lose To Buffalo At Home

The Worland Warrior Varsity Football team would face a tough loss at home to the Number 4 ranked Buffalo Bison 49-7.
22 plays into the game Worland Quarterback Kade Weber would suffer an injury that would take him out of the remainder of the game.
Senior Wide Receiver Brock Douzenis would take over at Quarterback for the Warriors.
On Douzenis’s second play he would find an open Trae Bennett and throw a 44-yard touchdown to Bennett and the Warriors would take the lead 7-0.
From that point, Buffalo would take over, score 3 touchdowns in the 2nd quarter, and take a 21-7 lead into the half.
Buffalo would continue the dominance into the second half and score 28 more points.
The Bison ran for 306 yards and 5 touchdowns, and they passed for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Worland had 163 yards passing and 75 yards rushing.
Before his exit, Weber had 8 completions for 81 yards.
Douzenis had 7 completions for 82 yards and a touchdown, he also ran the ball 7 times for 24 yards.
Senior Trae Bennett had 3 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Senior Court Gonsalez has 7 receptions for 38 yards.
Sophomores Masen Decker with 2 catches for 15 yards and Ethene Burns ran the ball 13 times for 42 yards.
The Warriors are now 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Worland heads to Lander Friday.
