The Worland Warriors are pre-season ranked number one 3A basketball team in the State of Wyoming according to a coaches and media poll. All-State Seniors Rudy Sanford and Mack Page are a big part of the reason why. The Warriors will start their season Tuesday December 15th against the Thermopolis Bobcats at Hot Springs County High School.
“Everyone contributes, I’m just trying to be a part, do my part.” Says Senior Mack Page. “With practice going hard I think we got a lot of good guys on our team.” Page would add. The Warriors finished last season at 24-1 before the State Tournament was canceled due to the pandemic.
“We got a lot of guys with a high basketball I.Q. on the court and it shows.” Rudy Sanford would say. “I think our expectations should be high. I think we should be ready to bring one home just like we were last year.” The Warriors will see a schedule this season that has no tournaments and are allowed to play only 18 games this season.
The boys team is poised and ready for the best “We know whenever we walk into a gym or someone walks into here we’re going to get their best shot.” Sanford said. “It motivates us, makes us practice harder. We know we’re going to get everyone’s best shot.” The Worland Warrior basketball team is prepared for a season with high expectations.
