WHS Track and Field with 50 Personal Records at the Jerry Campbell Invite

The Worland High School Track and Field team had 50 athletes hit PRs at the Jerry Campbell Invite in Buffalo on Friday.
15 teams from all classes and parts of the state competed:
Arvada-Clearmont, Big Horn, Buffalo, Campbell County, Cody, Douglas, Kaycee, Lovell, Moorcroft, Powell, Sheridan, Sundance, Thunder Basin, Upton, and Worland.
The Warriors and Lady Warriors would have 4 relays that would automatically qualify for state and a long distance runner.
The Boys 4X100 of Brock Douzenis, Aaron Carver, Taylor Pierce, and Garrett Cole would AQ and finish 2nd.
The Boys 4X400 of Liam Harper, Nathan Harper, Felix Lentsch, and Aaron Carver would AQ and finish 4th.
The Boys 4X800 of Felix Lentsch, Melvin Croft, Wil Bishop, and Jack Bishop AQ’d and won the event.
Freshman Zena Tapia would AQ and win the Girls 3200.
The Warriors and Lady Warriors had several top 10 finishes.
For the Girls:
Maddy Lloyd finished 8th in both the 100 and 200 meter dash, Erika Manahan finished 9th in the 200.
Addisyn Rollins finished 10th in the 400 meter dash.
Zena Tapia along with winning the 3200, she also finished 6th in the 1600 meter run.
Freshman Anna Richardson finished 7th in the 300 meter hurdles.
The Girls 4X400 of Lecsi Ramirez, Shae Whitlock, Anna Richardson, and Addisyn Rollins got 6th place.
The girls finished 2nd in the 1600 Sprint Medley with Maddy Lloyd, Delilah Salazar, Madilyn Glanz, and Zena Tapia.
Sophomore Addisyn Rollins got 5th in the High Jump.
Madilyn Glanz finished 8th in the Triple Jump.
Manaia Peterson got 8th in the Shot Put which had 72 participants.
For the Boys:
Jack Bishop got 6th in the 400 meter and 2nd in the 3200 meter run.
Warrior Trajin Swalstad finished 8th in the 1600.
Melvin Croft and Ivan Thomas finished 8th and 10th in the 3200.
In the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles Aaron Carver would get 2nd in both. Dawson Utterback finished 10th in the 300 meter hurdles.
The Boys High Jump had Liam Harper finish 5th.
Brock Douzenis finished 6th in the Long Jump.
Senior Christian Peterson finished 8th in the Shot Put ands 5th in the Discus each event with 93 athletes participating.
The Girls finished 7th, the Boys finished 3rd overall. Combined Worland got 6th as a team.
Sheridan won the girls, boys, and combined.
