Worland Cross Country Finish Strong

The Worland High School Cross Country team finished strong at the Wyoming 3A State Championship at Wyoming Indian High School in Ethete.
The Warrior Boys team finished 4th overall just 2 points behind Cody.
Mountain View would win the 2022 Wyoming 3A State Championship with Evanston in second.
Senior Jack Bishop got 5th with a time of 16:57, Sophomore Trajn Swalstad finished 8th with a time of 17:10.57
Senior Melvin Croft 23rd, Sophomore Will Bishop 26th, Sophomore Scottie Thomas 34th, Senior Harley Redding 47th, and Sophomore Kiyosi Smith 86th.
16 teams competed at State with 107 runners.
The Lady Warriors finished 7th overall.
Cody won the Wyoming 3A Girls Cross Country State Championship, followed by Evanston, Powell, Lander, Rawlins, and Green River.
Sophomore Zena Tapia got 5th with a time of 20:28.27.
Junior Nyssa Leyva finished 32nd, Senior Isaira Matamoros 34th, Senior Carly Venable 54th, Sophomore Keira Woffinden, and Senior Sarai Matamoros 75th.
16 schools and 96 runners were at State.
3A Girls Cross Country Results
Worland had 3 runners earn All-State. Jack Bishop, Trajn Swalstad, and Zena Tapia.
