Worland Track and Field Finish 3rd at LA Kohnke In Powell

Worland High School Track and Field were in Powell Saturday for the LA Kohnke Powell Invite.
Nine teams from the Big Horn Basin were at the meet:
Burlington, Cody, Lovell, Meeteetse, Powell, Rocky Mountain, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, and Worland.
In the Boys 100 meter dash Taylor Pierce finished 5th and would AQ for State.
Aaron Carver finished 7th, Brock Douzenis finished 10th and Garrett Cole finished 11th for the Warriors in the 100.
In the Boys 800 meter Junior Harley Redding finished 4th, and Freshman Trajn Swalstad finished 9th.
The Boys 1600 meter run saw Jack Bishop finish 4th, Trajn Swalstad 7th, and Freshman Will Bishop 9th.
Aaron Carver won the Boys 110 meter hurdle, Sophomore Wyatt Dickinson finished 6th.
The Boys Relay teams finished 3rd in the 4X100, and won the 4X800, and the Sprint Medley.
Senior Liam Harper AQ’d in the High Jump, Jaiden Lloyd finished 10th.
Christian Petersen finished 4th in both the Discuss, and the Shot Out.
For the Lady Warriors Sophomore Maddy Lloyd would AQ and finish 3rd in the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Nyssa Leyva finished 5th, Freshman Shae Whitlock 6th, and Junior Lecsi Ramirez 11th.
In the 200 meter Erika Manahan got 2nd, Nyssa Leyva got 6th.
Girls 400 meter dash Freshman Madilyn Glanz got 6th, Maci Newell 8th, and Lecsi Ramirez 10th.
Freshman Zena Tapia finished 3rd in the 1600 and 8th in the 800 meter.
In the 100 meter hurdles Freshman Anna Richardson got 4th, Richardson would win the 300 meter hurdles. Freshman Shae Whitlock finished 3rd.
In the Relays the Girls won the 4X100 and got 2nd in the Sprint Medley.
Sophomore Adisyn Rollins got 6th and Anna Richardson got 9th in the High Jump.
In the Girls Long Jump Erika Manahan got 6th, Nyssa Leyva 9th.
Freshman Madilyn Glanz was 3rd in the Triple Jump.
Sophomore Mania Petersen won the Discuss and got 2nd in the Shot Put.
The Girls finished 3rd Overall at the meet. Cody girls won the Invite.
The Warriors Boys finished 3rd as well. Powell Boys would win.
Worland will host the next track meet Thursday. The D&D Invite named after Don Vail and Doug Reachard both are in the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
