Listen up everyone! The 2023 Wyoming State Fair is coming up fast, and you don’t want to miss it.

The Wyoming State Fair has recently announced its grandstand lineup of events for August with events promising to make your heart pound. Without a doubt, the fair plans to showcase an unforgettable week for people of all ages.

“There’s truly something for everyone at the Wyoming State Fair. The fair is an incredible celebration of Wyoming’s agricultural heritage,” commented Courtny Conkle, State Fair general manager according to Oil City News

With respect for tradition, the Wyoming State fair will kick off on Tuesday, August 15, with the highly anticipated Ranch Rodeo. Fairgoers will witness action at its finest- and most western- and get the chance to observe amazing cowboys and cowgirls do what they do best.

Wednesday, August 16, will be dedicated to the appreciation of the bravehearted men and women who pledge to serve the United States. The tribute to the Military will be followed by the first night of the adrenaline packed PRCA rodeo.

That’s not all. Thursday keeps up the pace with the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night and World Champion Mutton Bustin’ pre-show. All funds raised by the auction during this event will benefit the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative. Be sure to stick around because the Mutton Bustin’ will be followed by the thrill of the PRCA rodeo. Miss Rodeo Wyoming will also be crowned during this event.

New to the fair event lineup is the $10,000 Figure 8 Races that will take place on Friday. Skilled drivers will attempt to tackle challenging courses with incredible speeds, showcasing their agility and their precision.

Last, but certainly not least, the Demolition Derby will be held on Saturday, August 19. For the past few decades, the derby has been a crowd favorite due to its high stakes and ensuing chaos from motorized collisions. Brought to you by the Douglas Volunteer Fire Department, the automotive competition will conclude the action-packed week of exhilarating events.
