An overturned gasoline tanker closes a route in Yellowstone.
Today, the road between Mud Volcano and Fishing Bridge was temporarily closed due to an overturned semi-tractor trailer, which was carrying gasoline. There’s currently no word on when or how this incident occurred. Given the volatile nature of gasoline, this has been considered a hazardous situation and a hazmat cleanup is currently underway. Park crews are assisting in the vicinity. A reopening date and time are not available.
