YNP Roads Closed Due to Weather

The snow that’s fallen in the region has closed all roads in Yellowstone as of this morning, with the exception of the Northeast to North entrance through Cooke City and Mammoth Hot Springs.
While the sun is expected to come out today, more snow will fall tomorrow, and Monday is forecast to hold snow as well. And as of Monday morning, all interior roads will close for the season as workers prepare for over snow travel that will be allowed beginning December 15.
If you have plans to travel to Yellowstone this weekend, check Yellowstone’s website before departing to determine whether or not the gates are open.
Additionally, roads to and from Cody to the west, north and east are listed as slick or slick in spots as of 7:00 this morning.
