YRA Making Changes for the Summer

There are some exciting changes coming to the restaurant at Yellowstone Regional Airport.

That’s according to Bob Hooper, manager of the airport in Cody. Hooper says that Cody Coffee Roasters will be taking over the restaurant in mid-May. Owner Jesse Renfors, who already operates a coffee shop and restaurant at the old airport, as well as a new location on 16th Street called “The Station,” is expanding his operation again by taking over the food service at the airport.

But Hooper says that’s not the only change taking place – the airport is making some significant structural changes to allow the restaurant to serve food and beverages to the passengers waiting to board their flights in the secured area.

Hooper says they have already started to make changes to the building, adding that they’ve been working towards this result for some time.

Hooper says they are getting ready to increase their activity for the summer season. Currently United is running 14 flights per week, but that number will increase to 38 flights in June. He adds that on May 24th SkyWest will bring Delta flights back, and United flights to Chicago will begin June 22nd.
