Artist Reception Opens 37th Annual Show

Written by on August 24, 2018

The Buffalo Bill Art Show opened to the public last night at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
This is the 37th year for the show, which last year brought in over a million dollars in sales. The ribbon cutting and reception was a bittersweet moment for Center of the West Executive Director Bruce Eldredge, who cut the ribbon on the event for the last time in his eleven years at the Center.
Eldredge and his wife, Jan, are retiring to the Seattle area this fall, but he says that he is proud of the art show and all it represents.

The reception last night kicks off a month-long celebration of artists and artisans not only at the Center of the West, but around the community of Cody, as well. The Art Show will culminate in a live and silent auction on Friday night, September 21st, as part of the week-long Rendezvous Royale celebration.
