Representatives from Cody are in Washington DC this week attempting to educate Congressional delegates on concerns with Medicare laws as they relate to cancer screenings.
Shawna Little, Michelle Lemmon and Dawn Scott are in the nation’s capital this week for the annual American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Leadership Summit and Lobby Day. ACS CAN grassroots manager Dawn Scott says part of their mission this week is to encourage legislators to close a loophole in Medicare laws that affect anyone who is being screened for colorectal cancer.
The three Wyoming delegates to the Summit met with Senator John Barrasso and the rest of Wyoming’s members of Congress on Tuesday, urging them to take action to make cancer research and treatment a top national priority.
