Coffee with Cops is a national event held on the first Tuesday of October, and Cody Police Department willparticipate again tomorrow for the third year in a row.

Chief of Police Chuck Baker explains that the event is designed so anyone in the community can approach police officers with their questions and concerns in a conversational way. He stressed that this is an informal way to let the department hear any and all community concerns.

Chief Baker says the intent of the national program is to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the community, but he says he is proud of the relationship this department has with citizens. He believes their is a high amount of familiarity and trust of the officers in the community.
