Lady Warriors Rally In The Third Period

The Lady Warriors score 21 points in the third period to take the lead for good Monday night against New Castle. Worland came into Monday night 3-0 on the season and ranked number 3 in the State of Wyoming 3A Girls basketball. The Lady Dogies were 2-2 for their season with loses to Burns and Laramie. The Lady Warriors would get the win 56-41 and get to 4-0.
New Castle starts four Sophomores including Jaylen Ostenson who averages 19.3 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. Of the 41 points scored by New Castle Ostenson had 21 of them.
Leading the scoring for the Lady Warriors was Darla Hernandez with 20 points. Hernandez is averaging 18.5 points per game for the season. Denali Jones would have 12 points and Tymberlynn Crippen also had 12 points that included three,3 point shots in the second half. Defensively the Lady Warriors only give up an average of 41.5 points per game.
Next up Worland Lady Warriors will travel to Pinedale.Friday they will face a 2-2 Pinedale Lady Wranglers team. Saturday Worland will play formally ranked number 2 Lyman Lady Eagles who are 3-1 this season with a loss to Torrington.
