Liquor License Transfer Approved | Big Horn Basin Media

New Management at Golf Course Bar and Restaurant

The Stampede Bar and Grill at Olive Glenn Golf Course in Cody is under new management.
Steve and Laurie Swan appeared before the City Council Tuesday night requesting the transfer of the full retail liquor license from Olive Glenn to Rockin’ U LLC. Laurie Swan told the Council that as members of Olive Glenn, and having previously operated a restaurant and bar in Montana, they felt they could make it a better restaurant for not only members, but the public as well.

Laurie Swan says she was asked to step in temporarily when the previous restaurant manager left in July, and she and her husband decided they could try their hand at running the Bar and Grill as a private business. Golf Course Manager Terry Skinner spoke in support of the transition, and Council members praised the Swans for the improvements that they’ve seen.
Council approved the transfer of the liquor license, with the contingency that should the Swans choose to end their business relationship with the Golf Course, the liquor license would be returned to Olive Glenn.
