Offensive Explosion leads Cody past Casper
Written by Cole Havens on June 16, 2021
Tristan Blatt hit 3, 3-run home runs, the Cubs put up a whopping 39 runs and Cody swept the twin bill over the Casper Drillers Tuesday night.
The Cubs would win game 1 by a final score of 22-4 and kept the bats going in game 2, outdueling Casper 17-1.
Blatt would lead off both games for the Cubs with 3-run home runs in the bottom of the 1st each game and connected on his third of the night in the 4th inning of game 2.
Over the two games, Trey Thomasson, Trey Schroeder and Chance Moss would combine to pitch 10 innings, gave up 8 hits while allowing 5 runs, 2 earned, walked 5 and struck out 11 on the day.
Following the annihilation of Casper the Cubs are now 20-10 on the season.
