2022 Home and Garden wraps up another year

The 2022 Home and Garden Wrap Up!

Written by on May 23, 2022

The 2022 Home and Garden has come to an end and it was a great weekend! There were over a 100 booths with a variety of different things to offer.  From flooring, gutters, tractors, hair, nail, and face care, greenhouses, beautiful customs made furniture, and pet photography just to name a few.  There were also non – profit organizations that were able to get their cause in front of hundreds of people.

A popular part of the show was the Backyard Makeover Giveaway.

Items in the package were staged at the front doors for when people walked in. Patrons were welcomed with beautiful flowers and plants from Pollen Landscaping. The patriotic fire pit was custom made by Grizzly Fabrication, one of the vendors at the show, and it definitely had people stopping to look at the details.  The sturdy stepping stone from Buffalo Hill Stepping Stone was a great addition to the package. Lastly, we cannot forget the gift certificate from Proffit’s Lawn Care that made our winner Peggy Clarke speechless!

Another great addition to the show were the food trucks.

There were a select few that joined us this year, and we were lucky to have them. The famous kettle corn was back by popular demand and hard to resist as you came and went to the show. Bubble T’s  Boba tea had people very excited that they were back for the summer with their refreshing drinks. Who can pass up ice cream no matter the weather? The Box ice cream truck joined us this year with their cold and tasty treats. There was also the Gary’s Rojo  o Verde truck. This was their first time in Cody, and the community welcomed them with open arms. Being quoted on Facebook, ” In 4 years of business we have never had the intense business we experienced yesterday, and today.  You have our gratitude and admiration! Until next time thank you again.”

I do have to say the best part for me besides seeing how busy the weekend was at the Riley Ice Arena, was hearing the excitment of the community about what we do at the Big Horn Radio Network. From telling us about their favorite on- air personalities, to being new to the area and wanting to know about all our stations, and complimenting us about the National Anthem being played at noon every day. The best part of my job is seeing how we connect with and within the people in our community.

Mark your calendars for next year’s show May 19th and 20th, 2023. Make sure you tune in for what we have in store this summer!
