Trump and Hageman Announce Rally in Casper, Wyoming
Written by Caleb Nelson on May 3, 2022
Last year, Trump endorsed Republican Harriet Hageman to challenge Rep. Liz Cheney for Wyoming’s U.S. House seat.
Trump supported Hageman after Cheney’s public criticism and vote of impeachment following the Capitol riot in January 2021. Cheney’s defiance of Trump cost her the number-three House GOP leadership spot.
“I strongly endorse Republican House of Representatives Candidate Harriet Hageman from Wyoming who is running against warmonger and disloyal Republican, Liz Cheney,” Trump said previously.
Hageman thanked Trump in a prepared statement, saying, “It will be a tremendous honor and incredibly exciting to have President Trump visit with us and it will no doubt be the largest political event in Wyoming history.”
“I am grateful for President Trump’s support in my campaign, and I look forward to seeing him in Casper,” she continued.
The rally will take place at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming on Saturday, May 28th as Trump and Hageman target Cheney. The Ford Center has the capacity to hold upwards of 9,000 people. If Hageman is right about the size of the event, those seats will be needed.
According to event details on Trump’s website, people can only “register up to 2 tickets per mobile number per event.” Doors open at 11 a.m. with the rally set to kick off at 4 p.m.
